This event was jointly hosted by NatureScot and the Scottish Wildlife Trust to support discussion between senior leaders within the environment sector on the opportunities for collaboration and development of the digital transformation agenda.

Aims and outcomes

  • Update on the Statement of Ambition and request for signatories
  • Update from Scottish Government on the new Digital Strategy
  • Introduction to the new digital transformation wheel explorer resource
  • Update on NatureScot innovation programme
  • Overview of planned communications – case studies
  • Attendees identify areas for collaboration – case studies and topics for workshops/future events.


  • Online Microsoft 'Meetings' event with small group breakout discussions
  • Planned attendance - 25-30 participants of senior leaders across environment agencies and NGOs in Scotland.
  • Event (with the exception of the breakout group discussions) will be recorded for public viewing here later. (Not Chatham house).

  6. Breakout small group discussions - Use of Menti board to collect ideas on future opportunities for collaboration projects and topics for future workshops. (20 mins)
